There is a steep slope between the street and the sidewalk that is difficult to mow. What are some ground covers that can be planted that would resist winter salt spray and be attractive and low maintenance year round?

The most salt tolerant groundcovers are Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (Bearberry); Erica spp. (Spring Heath); Iberis sempervirens (Edging Candytuft); Potentilla (Shrubby Cinquefoil); Symphoricarpos albus (Snowberry) and Vaccinum and cvs. (Blueberry/Cranberry).
