| I have a little court yard with a fountain in the center. I'd like to cover the area around the fountain - about 8' x 8' with lava rock. How much lava rock will I need? Also do you put down a barrier under the rock for weed control? Thank you. |
| You will need to cover 64 sq. feet. One cubic yard typically covers 100 sq. ft., 3 " deep. I'd purchase a yard and spread it slightly thicker than 3". To keep weeds at bay, do put a fabric weed barrier down before spreading your lava rock. Best wishes with your courtyard! |
