I have 2 potted hybicuses that survived last winter in my garage, but when I put them back on our front porch in the spring, they suffered some damage from a mild freeze. I pruned them down to the stalk, and they are just now starting to develop some blooms again. Other than bringing them inside, is there a better way to help them survive the winter?

Bob,
They need to come in for any periods when the temperature is going to be below about 40 degrees. While they can take colder it really sets them back and freezes kill them. In your location leaving them outside is not an option.
