The Q&A Archives: Growing Mint From Seed

Question: Do you have any thoughts on why the mint seeds I planted 2 months ago haven't come up yet?

Answer: Mint seeds like a soil temperature of 70F during germination which takes 2-3 weeks. Don't keep the soil too moist, or the seed will rot before germinating. They also don't need light to germinate, so leave them in a warm room, not under lights until you see some growth. Once germinated they grow like weeds!
