You've made a wise choice for your landscape! Tanyosho Pine Standard is a globe shaped pine on a standard pine trunk. It has long green needles and reddish brown bark which makes it a nice accent plant. It grows best in full sun and will reach a 12' height and 18' spread at maturity. You can keep it smaller by snapping or cutting off the candles (new growth) in May or early June (cut off 1/3 to 1/2 of each candle and your plant will retain its globe shape). Once it is established it has a low water requirement. Hope this answers all your questions!
