| There's not much you need to do until frost nips the tops of your perennials. Once they have died back, cut the stems and foliage off the plants and remove the debris from the garden. After doing that you can spread a few inches of organic matter over the bed to help suppress weeds and to offer some winter protection to the crowns of your plants. In the spring when new growth appears, rake or brush away the compost so your plants can grow. Enjoy your garden! |
