I planted 2 lilac trees less than 2 months ago.One is flourishing and the other.. leaves are brown, but still soft. What could be wrong. |
Most newly installed landscape trees and shrubs go through a stressful period of adjustment until their roots establish themselves. Soft brown leaves usually indicates over watering or roots sitting in saturated soils. Make sure the soil drains well between waterings and be sure to rake up any fallen leaves this fall. Next spring you should see lots of healthy new growth. Best wishes with your lilacs! |
