| We have a major problem with squirrels in our yard because of oak trees in the front and back yards. This is causing our lawn to be turned into a mud hole. We have many bare spots from the squirrels burying and digging up the acorns. Is there away to keep them away from the lawn? |
| I think you may find what you have is skunks and not squirrels. Although squirrels do dig up their acorns, they usually produce very small holes. Skunks on the other hand REALLY do a number on your lawn. They are there because you are probably a majorsource of their food supply-grubs! I'd suggest you try beneficial nematodes. These microscopic worm-like creatures parasitize the grubs in the lawn and as I commented on, take care of the skunks' food supply. For a more immediate solution,you can try a mole repellent product that contains castor oil. It works to repel moles, and may work on skunks too. It's organic and safe.
