I was considering planting gardenia bushes in my yard. I live in Tampa, FL and the bushes would be on the north side of my home. The planting area is under the shade of my home, but there is full sun all around. Do you think gardenias would work? If not, do you have a flowering bush suggestion?
Thanks!
Stephanie

Stephanie,

Gardenias would work if the area gets at least part day shade. Other flowering bushes for sunny areas include Knock Out roses, Yellow Bells, and Plumbago which also likes a little part day shade.
