Before I joined your club I planted some eggplants. The plants are about twe feet tall, they flower, but no vegetable come out. I also want to know in what zone does Puerto Rico fit into.

Puerto Rico is in zone 11. If your eggplants are flowering but not setting eggplants it means the flowers are not being pollinated by insects. This could be due to weather or due to the fact that excessive pesticides have been used in the area and there are no bees or wasps around to transfer pollen from one flower to the next. You can try hand pollinating - using a small brush and touching the insides of each open flower. This should result in pollen transfer and should result in little eggplants. Too attract more pollinating insects to your yard, reduce or eliminate the use of pesticides and plant lots of different kinds of flowering plants so the bees and wasps will want to visit your garden.

Best wishes with your eggplants!
