How do I save my container garden favorites. I don't have room to bring them all in, but don't seem to know how to successfully overwinter them. What do I do?

Some plants are hardy and others are frost tender. Without knowing exactly which plants you're growing, it's hard to give specific guidelines on winter protection. If your plants are considered hardy perennials you will only need to protect the roots from excessive cold. You can do this by burying the pots in the garden where the soil will help insulate them from extreme cold or you can wrap the pots with insulating material to keep them from freezing solid. If your plants are borderline hardy in your region you might want to move the pots into a garage or shed where it's cold but remains above freezing. You'll want to keep the soil from completely drying out but you don't want the soil to be overly wet, either. Apply water as necessary - probably once a month while they're in storage.

Hope this provides some guidance!
