The Q&A Archives: Planting Mexican Bird of Paradise

Question: When is the best time to plant a Mexican Bird of Paradise in Queen Creek Arizona?

Answer: Now that the weather is cooling slightly, you can plant from now through December. If your Mexican Bird of Paradise is blooming now (as most are), you can wait until it has finished blooming to plant it in the ground. It will die down this winter but healthy new foliage will emerge in the spring. Enjoy!
