The Q&A Archives: Oleander

Question: I have a very big Oleander and would like to know what time of the year that I need to trim it.

Answer: Barbara,

Ideally after blooming. However it is getting late because they will attempt to regrow and be more cold susceptible as a result. I would wait until next year after the bloom season and if you can't wait then prune in late winter and expect less blooms next summer if the pruning is extensive.
