What is the best fertilizer for bulbs? Do you think they do better bunched up together, or apart? thank you!

Prior to planting bulbs you can add some compost to the planting bed, along with a small amount of slow-release 10-10-10. Dig it in well before planting. Bulbs need a few inches of space in order to have enough room to develop roots and to keep them from competing with one another for adequate nutrients and moisture. You can plant most bulbs about 6" apart. Best wishes with your bulbs!
