The Q&A Archives: strawberries

Question: I live in alaska.-50 degree do I protect my strawberries from the cold?

Answer: The University of Alaska Fairbanks has a publication on growing strawberries but it deals mostly with greenhouse growing. If you don't have a greenhouse, you'll have to consider your strawberries as annuals and replant each year. Quinault is the most prolific bearer in your gardening region. For more information, contact your local Cooperative Extension office.

Best wishes with your garden!
