I live in the Middle South region in Northern GA. I have a bed of mums and was wanting to reposition them, because they are getting bigger. What is the best time to transplant mums? Also, what could I use as a filler flower with my mums?

Thanks,
Amanda B.

Since autumn is the prime flowering season for mums, I'd wait until they have finished flowering before digging and transplanting. You can replant anytime from December through April. Excellent companions for your mums include Ornamental Kale,
Ornamental Cabbage, Pansy, Viola, Dianthus, Lamium, Heuchera, Sage, Rosemary, Parsley, and snapdragons.
