| When sunflowers begin to mature the heads will droop down towards the ground and the backs of the heads will turn from green to a light tan. You can cut the heads from the stalks at that time and then set them on newspapers (face side up) in a dry, airy place such as a shed or garage. When they are completely dry the heads will begin to warp out of shape and the seeds should pull out easily. |
