I have an Endless Summer Hydrangia that I planted in 07. It did not bloom last summer nor did it bloom this summer. The plant is very healthy and is shaded. What can I do to get this favorite of mine show its stuff? |
Endless Summer is a fantastic hydrangea which blooms on both old and new wood - a plus for cold winter areas. It does take a year or two to become established, though, and it flowers best with at least 4 hours of sunshine a day. If your hydrangea is growing in a shady area, it may not bloom as well as if it had a half day of or even all day sunshine. You might consider moving it to a spot where it will at least get morning sunshine to promote more blossoms. |
