My porch faces S. and gets little to no sunlight. I would love to plant many kinds of flowers but dont know what will survive. Also could I grow a pumpkin from a seed in this indirect light. Thank you.

Some perennial flowers that will grow well in the shade and in containers include Bergenia, Hosta, Agapanthus, Coral Bells, and lavender. Don't forget some colorful annuals such as impatiens, begonias and coleus. I'm afraid pumpkins need all day sunshine in order to grow. wish I had better news for you!
