I have large mums in pots that I bought from a large garden center. I am going on vacation for a week very soon and will not be able to water them for this period of time. Can you suggest something I can do to keep them healthy while I am away?

If you can't convince a neighbor to water them you might be able to keep them happy by inverting water filled bottles into the soil of each pot. Start by watering the plants thoroughly and then use one or two pint-sized bottles for each pot. Fill them with water and push the neck into the soil. As the soil dries out, water will be wicked from the bottles into the soil. They should last about a week. Best wishes with your mums!
