| Kalanchoes are short day plants. This means that in order to set flower buds, they need to experience complete darkness for 14 hours a day. You can simply set your plant in a closet for 14 hours every night and then take it back to its usual place during the day. After 4-6 weeks of this treatment it should set flower buds. This is the same process as used on poinsettias and Christmas cactus. |
