I want to know what can I use to get rid of the bugs on and in the soil before I bring them back in the house, they have been on the porch for the summer. Lizards seem to love my plants but I don't love them. HELP

I'm encouraged by the presence of lizards! They consume lots of insects and I'm sure they appreciate your parking your plants outdoors so they can feast!

Insecticidal soap directed on the soil of the plants should take care of the problem; a strong stream of water on the tops of the plants should dislodge any potential hitchhikers. Or, you can simply repot the plants in fresh potting soil.

Best wishes with your houseplants!
