I live 30 miles below Nashville, TN should I plant my carnations in the ground will they live through our freezes or should I winter them in my house and bring them back outside in the spring? Thank you in advance |
You're in zone 7 and most carnations are hardy to your zone. They don't perform well indoors so leave them outside and cover them with an organic mulch after your first hard frost. If you have hardy carnations, they will survive. (There are some types that are only hardy to zone 9 so I hope you have the kinds that are hardy to your zone!) Best wishes with your carnations!! |
