| I've moved to a house that has lots of snowdrops and crocuses that I'd love to save, but not where they are currently located. When and how should I transplant these bulbs? |
| While they are flowering, mark them somehow. Maybe with little popsickle sticks or something. Try to include the color as well as the kind of bulb it is. Then in late summer just dig them up and put them where you'd like them to be. No big deal!And just think how great they'll look come NEXT spring! (If they are in the middle of the lawn and it will be difficult to mark their location until fall, then you can transplant them in the spring once the flowers have gone by and the foliage has turned brown.) |
