The Q&A Archives: Starting asparagus

Question: Can I start asparagus plants in the fall?

Answer: Asparagus plants are usually planted out in the garden in March or April. They can be started from seed indoors and set outside about 4 weeks before the last expected frost. However, if you have a source of established asparagus, the plants can be divided now and you can replant them in the garden now.

Best wishes with your asparagus!
