How many bulbs can be grouped together and should they be the same or different kinds in a grouping? Thank You. PBender |
You can group as many bulbs as you like either in pots or in the ground. Each will need several inches of space - if you plant in containers you can plant them closer (2-3 inches apart) because you can empty the pots every 2-3 years and replant so they won't be overcrowded. If you plant them in the ground, you can plant them in drifts, but space them 4-6" apart so you won't have to dig them for 4-5 years. You can mix and match the types of bulbs you plant. Just take into consideration that some are taller than others and plant accordingly. Enjoy your spring garden! |
