I'm getting ready for winter and I want to reseed the bare spots on my lawn. Is now the good time to seed and what is best seed to use now?

As long as the air and soil temperatures remain above 40F, grass seed will germinate and grow. If the weather is colder than that, wait until spring to overseed the bare spots in your lawn. If the temperatures are still above 40F, overseed with perennial rye (a cool season grass) to help fill in those bare spots. Best wishes with your lawn!
