The Q&A Archives: palm trees

Question: So some of the branches on my Queen Palms are dying so how do I cut them off and how far down do I cut them off?

Answer: It's normal for the oldest and lowest fronds to turn brown and die. Cut them off close to the trunk (without damaging the trunk). Eventually the part that is left (called the boot) will dry up and fall off the trunk.

Good luck with your Queen palms!
