I purchased 12 Nico Azalea plants from the Home Depot last year and during the winter they all lost their leaves. Is this a normal feature of these plants or should I be concerned for these plants this winter. Pleas advise. Thanks.

There are both deciduous and evergreen azaleas. Nico is an evergreen so if your plants are losing their leaves, they are either mislabeled and are not Nico, or they were going through a stressful period and lost their leaves because of that last winter. Let's hope they retain their leaves this year! As long as the plants looks healthy and are putting out new growth, they are just fine.
