Dear Gardener, Is it too late to plant trees? I purchased a Japanese Maple. If I should not plant it now, should I store it for the winter in my sunroom? I live in southwestern Pennsylvania. Thanks, carl |
You can plant landscape trees and shrubs any time the ground is not frozen. It would be best for your new Japanese maple if you plant it now. It will go through the normal dormancy period and be ready to grow for you early next spring. So, yes, plant it now. Best wishes with your garden! |
