I live in the MidAtlantic region. How should I prepare my lawn for the upcoming winter. |
There's really not much you need to do to winterize your lawn. It's a little late now, but we usually recommend you feed your lawn one last time in early October with a "winterizer" fertilizer (which is low in nitrogen but high in phosphorous and potassium) to help strengthen the stems and roots of your turfgrass. Continue to mow until your lawn stops growing. The height should be 1 1/2 to 2". When it stops growing, you won't need to water on a regular basis. Best wishes with your landscape! |
