The Q&A Archives: Brussel Sprouts

Question: I have a lovely crop of Brussel Sprouts ready for eating. I had heard that we needed a frost before they should be picked. Is that true?

Answer: Not true. You can harvest whenever they are the correct size for the variety you're growing. Some gardeners feel that they become sweeter after experiencing a frost, but I prefer to harvest when they are full size.
