The Q&A Archives: Mana De Coco plant found in the Dominican Republic

Question: I have it in a pot. need to know how to care for it in Winter and all seasons. It has managed to live for 7 yrs now, but want to care for it properly. It get's clusters of pink flowers usually in spring. Thanks.. Liz

Answer: If you've been growing your Erythroxylaceae (coca plant) indoors for 7 years, I think you're probably doing everything right. These plants need lots of light and lots of humidity in order to grow well, as well as occasional pruning to keep it full and bushy. Prune it back after it finishes flowering. Aside from the above, coca plants don't have any specific indoor growing requirements.
