| I just bought a Hydrangea and want to know how to care for it in southern Florida. Does this plant need a dormant season or can I just leave it in the ground and will it continue to bloom year round? |
| Plant your hydrangea in a place where it will get partial shade. In your area it will grow and bloom periodically all year. You will need to do some pruning after each blooming period. Hydrangeas need a moist, well-drained fertile soil. Fertilize in early spring, late spring, mid-summer and early winter using about 2 or 3 tablespoons of 6-6-6 for a 3 foot plant. Disbudding or thinning the number of flowering branches will often increase the size of individual flowers. |
