Question: I purchased a pink hibiscus and it performed beautifully all summer and late fall in Myrtle Beach,SC. How should I prune it now so that it will do well in 2009.

Answer: Wait until the weather warms in early spring and then prune your hibiscus back. Since these plants flower on new growth, pruning in spring will encourage new growth and lots of flowers. Enjoy!
