Wahat we should do with lawn during winter/fall - Knowledgebase Question

I have bought my first ever house in July in Houston and have been mowing and watering it in summer and early fall.
I was wondering what are the lawn care tips during winter? Does it need any special type of fertilizer? Is there any need for new lawn seeds to be added to my yard? In summary what I need to know and do for my lawn in yard?
Also how about the trees in the yard? Same questions go to trees and bushes in the yard too.
Is there any public website or online resoursec for how to do questions regarding gardening and its related tips?

Yousef,

There is no need to care for you lawn over the winter. Just keep any fallen leaves raked up so it can get sunlight on mild winter days. When you have mowed the grass twice in spring then you should begin to fertilize. The following web site has helpful lawn care info:

Trees and shrubs need no care now either other than mulching around the base of shrubs and new trees with leaves or wood chips. In late winter you can prune if pruning is needed. The following web site provides help with pruning:
