The Q&A Archives: st. augustine grass invading my bermuda

Question: how do I kill the st. augustine without harming the bermuda? It has spread about two to three feet into my property from my neighbors yard.

Answer: I'd start by digging a trench between the two yards to stop the spread. Then dig out the offending grass, roots and all. I don't know of any herbicide that will kill St. Augustine but not harm Bermuda.
