The Q&A Archives: time to plant

Question: When I can plant my vegetable garden if I cover the plants with bottom-cut, pour spot open, plastic gallon milk cartons?

Answer: The second week of March is about as early as you dare plant outdoors, even with cloches and covers. The soil temperatures will be too cold prior to mid-March to encourage growth.

Hope you have a bountiful harvest!
