When should I begin to prune my perennial garden? I let it stay a bit overgrown in the winter to give the bottom of the plants a bit of protection from the short freezes we have. Is it too early?

You can cut back your perennials now, removing all dead foliage to soil level. They'll be ready to grow as soon as the weather warms. Enjoy!
