The Q&A Archives: Growing Pansies

Question: I know pansies are hardy in cooler temperatures? How soon can I plant them? If I want to start from seeds, when can I start?

Answer: Pansies are good candidates for seed starting as early as January in some regions. They tolerate mild frost and can be planted outdoors to flower early in cooler regions when the temperatures warm up in late spring. They?re also slow growing, requiring 12-14 weeks from sowing, until flowering.
