I am new to composting and was wondering if you can use the septic system enzymes (RIDEX) to aid in composting or should I buy one specifically for composting? Thanks,

Actually, all you need are a few shovelfuls of soil - and/or a handful of nitrogen fertilizer to get things started in your compost pile. Soil is teeming with all kinds of beneficial microorganisms and nitrogen will help heat things up so the decomposition process can get started. I wouldn't use Ridex - it isn't necessary.
