Warm-season veggies like tomatoes and peppers prefer warm soil and air temperatures. You should be able to plant your seeds in mid-April in your region. Be sure to prepare your soil first by adding organic matter like compost, aged manure or peat moss tohelp retain moisture and release nutrients into the soil the plant's roots will have a ready supply once the seedlings begin to grow. For best harvest, choose the sunniest location of your garden for tomatoes and peppers.
