I planted my winter crop this year and my broccoli and cauliflower produced heads that were only 2-3 inches across. What do I need to change to get full sized crops?

Fluctuating temperatures are usually the problem when cole crops (such as broccoli and cauliflower) fail to perform well. Most take from 60 to 100 days to mature and temperatures should be under 60 degrees during that time. I suspect that temperatures remained too high this winter for your plants to produce well. Next time try a more heat tolerant variety. Hope this helps!
