I have a Holly tree or very large bush that needs to be trimmed. It is taller than my house. I'd say the top 1/3 needs to be trimmed. When is the best time to trim it?

Early spring is best for hollies. If you wait too late in the season you'll sacrifice the flowering which will affect the berries. Prune now and your holly will continue to produce flowers (and berries, if it is a female). Best wishes with your holly!
