| If your plant is really getting out of bounds, you can prune it, but you're likely to have fewer fruits to harvest. There's no one right or wrong way to grow tomatoes--only experience will tell you which works best for you. If you do prune your plants, by removing suckers that sprout between the leaf and the stem, you'll get a tidier-looking plant that is easier to care for and pick from. You may also have less trouble with disease, since there will be better air circulation. You probably won't, however, get a higher yield than on an unpruned plant. |
