The Q&A Archives: Grapefruit Tree Damage

Question: in northern Fla we just had multiple freezes and my grapefruit tree is turning yellow and the leaves are curling what can I do

Answer: Everyone in your part of the state is dealing with frost damaged plants so you're not alone. I'd wait a few more weeks, just to make sure the winter is over, then prune away the winter damage. You may lose some flowers and potential fruit by pruning but at least you'll remove the damage and your citrus tree can recover. Best wishes with your grapefruit tree!
