Is there an evergreen screen that can be planted near a well that won't have a root system that will interfer with the well?

The roots of most trees and shrubs will seek out water and can cause problems so why not plant vines instead? You can build a trellis or construct a fence out of hog wire and train the vines to grow up the trellis or fence. Roots of most vining plants are relatively non-invasive.
