Have a few small bare spots in front yard. When is the earliest (in Indianapolis, IN) that I can sow some grass seed?

With the weather so unpredictable I can't give you an absolute planting date but you can figure it out without too much trouble. Grass seed will germinate when temperatures are 40F or above. So, when daytime temperatures are consistently 40F or above you can sow your grass seeds. Best wishes with your lawn!
