SMALL SPACE - Knowledgebase Question

I have a space about 2x2 between my neighbor and me and need to place something in there that will grow and the children will not bother. also i have a space dividing me and my neighbor that grass will not grown becasue of the children and it is on my side. It is about 8 x2 feet long and wide.

Boxwoods are sturdy plants and they remain small so they won't encroach on the property line. They grow equally well in shade or sun. Best wishes with your garden!
