What is the cheapest, but best mateiral to build a 3 ft. deep x 12 ft. long, bed out of, ceder or stone. I would like it to last 8-10 years. Or is their a better material? |
If there's a choice, I'd go with concrete blocks. They'll be the most permanent; you'll never have to replace them. If you decide to use wood, cedar, redwood, or hemlock would last the longest in the garden. There are also some new plastic wood timbers on the market. They have good reviews, although I don't have any experience with them. Best wishes with your new raised bed! |
